Saving your Hosted Outlook 2007 Credentials in Windows XP

A number of clients use our Hosted Exchange Service and experience issues saving their Outlook password to their computer. It is possible to force your computer to save your Outlook credentials so that you do not have to re-enter them every time you open Outlook.

This article explains how to save those credentials on a Windows XP Professional computer.

Please note it is not possible to save your password on Windows XP Home and that this procedure applies ONLY to clients using our own hosted exchange service.

Step 1 – Open The User Accounts Window

  • Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > User Accounts. The “User Accounts” window will open.

Step 2 – Open The Manage Passwords Window

  • From here select the “Advanced” tab. From this Window select the “Manage Passwords” button. The “Stored User Names and Passwords” window will open.
